My goal at camp this year is share exactly how I create and where my inspiration comes from. Every morning I spend at least one hour in the Word. It’s usually a combo of reading devotionals, scripture in my bible, looking up different translations, journaling and seeing where it all leads. And since I’m a super visual person, I almost always get a vivid picture in my mind to go along with it.
(The key is sketching the thoughts before they’re gone- that way you can come back to them!)
At camp, we have the chance to be inspired AND create to our hearts content! That’s where these AE{art} prompts come in. A jump ing off point, like combining a daily devo + scripture + a flower prompt.
Matthew 6:25-34 has so many more creative possibilities, like using the visual of the birds, or “Solomon and all of his splendor,” “how much more He will clothe you.”
This verse not only reminds us of God’s deep, enduring love for us, it also reminds us that we need not worry about tomorrow: He’s got us.
So, whether it’s lilies themselves, birds in the air, lilies and a portrait or a sign lettering a stand-out phrase: there’s loads of jumping off points with this prompt!
